Have you ever stopped to view a beautiful flower garden and yet could smell no fragrance? Have you ever drank a cup of coffee that was so delicious you could close your eyes and taste the bitterness of the coffee bean, creaminess of the creamer, sweetness of the honey with the cup drank so quickly that your taste buds linger for more? Have you ever stopped in the mall while shopping because you saw the elderly couple walking holding hands and wishing you had a love of a lifetime they have or stopped to enjoy the laughter of children playing or the cooing of a baby as his mother cuddles him for a nap? Have you leaned to smell a rose and couldn't resist the urge to gently touch the velvety petals and think aobut how soft it feels and reminds you of the skin of a lover's neck? Exploration of the journey as we seek to find our destination is all aobut what life provides us yet so many have the minutes of the day that pass so eloquently that they end the day never having once felt any part of their day with their senses. I have identified the moments of my life I want to recreate on a continuous basis so my life is what I choose it to be rather than the preconceived destiny that narrow-minded individuals so universally pronounce.ÃÂ
I am a strong woman who is independent yet a portion of me wishes for that special someone I can lean to. I ask very little but give mountains in hopes of a trickle of water to quench my parching thirst. I choose to be alone and am not alone in spirit. I can spend the whole day inside and never open a door yet I can spend the whole day and evening running errands and enjoying the outings. I can wear jeans for housework and a dress and heels for dinner.
I see demons inside others that they wrestle with internally and yet they manage to portray the cool, organized, and professional persona. They seek an outlet of trust so they can slay those ideas they so genuinely deny they have but know are your shadows. Only someone who has felt what you feel can understand those feelings. Do you know how meaningful it is to a woman to have a man hold her face and run his fingers into her hair as he gentle kisses her or holds his hand to her lower back as they walk together? How wonderf it is to have a nip of her lip as he kisses her goodbye so she knows she is marked and he wants to see her another time in the future? How an early morning text while you're still in bed sent to her tells her you are thinking about her around the clock or the phone call with apology for waking her at 3 am but you just needed to hear her voice so you could fall back asleep sends chills down her spine but warmth in her heart as she smiles and falls back asleep. Could you let a woman consume a part of your heart that would allow you be standing in line for take out food with her and you ask her if she hears the music as you gently lead her into a slow dance right in line oblivious of the people standing around you and staring at you and as you end the dance you remind her that "our song" is always a song to slow dance to even though no music was playing at all in the restaurant? When she has bad week and you know she's irritated with her ex, work and life, would you sneak to meet her with a bottle of her favorite wine and sit on the front porch barefoot slowing swinging in the porch swing while she leans back into you enjoying you are there for her wrapped in your arms and nothing is said between you except non-verbal communication as you share a glass of wine?ÃÂ
Can you share an ice cream cone and let her wipe the ice cream off your nose as you both giggle like school children lost in the moment? Would you blush if during the negotiation she knew you were in and she sent you a text reminding you of a personal moment you two had shared? Would you smile when you opened your glove box or washing machine lid and found the little love note tucked inside saying you were missed and she was thinking of you?ÃÂ
